Professional Integrity

Actuaries are required to adhere to a high standard of professional conduct by both the American Academy of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries.  Please note the following excerpts of Professional Integrity taken from the American Academy of Actuaries 2001 Yearbook.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With this in mind ACTEX continues to include the following message in all our publications:

 

 

 

 

ACTEX Policy for the resale of any ACTEX products.

 

 

 

 

 

Precept 1. An Actuary shall act honestly, with integrity and competence, and in a manner to fulfill the profession's responsibility to the public and to uphold the reputation of the actuarial profession.

 

Annotation 1-4. An Actuary shall not engage in any professional conduct involving dishonesty, fraud deceit, or misrepresentation or commit any act that reflects adversely on the actuarial profession.

 

 

No portion of this ACTEX Study Manual may be reproduced or transmitted in any part or by any means without the permission of the publisher.
