Shipping Policy: Due to the length of study time necessary to prepare for actuarial exams, the goal of ACTEX Publications and Mad River Books is to get your books to you as quickly as possible so that you may begin your studies. All in-stock orders are shipped within 1 business day. Please see below for more detailed shipping information.

Please note that any applicable duties and taxes are the responsibility of the consignee and are not included in the shipping charges. Mad River Books reserves the right to adjust shipping charges at the time of order processing to reflect actual cost. ACTEX Publications/Mad River Books does not earn a profit on our customers’ express shipping fees.

Orders Shipping Within the United States

Prices include ground shipping for Continental U.S. orders over $150.00
Continental U.S. orders under $150.00 will be charged $5.75 for delivery.
UPS ground (preferred method) - In stock orders will ship within 1 business day (delivery in 1-5 business days)
U.S. Priority Mail - In stock orders will ship within 1 business day (delivery in 2-3 business days)
* UPS will not ship to a PO, APO or FPO Box
* Orders shipping to a PO, APO or FPO box will be sent out using U.S. Priority Mail
Orders shipping to Connecticut will be charged 6% state sales tax
Express shipping and other options are available - please call for pricing and availability
UPS does not consider Saturday to be a business day. Customers requesting this service will be charged additional fees.

Orders Shipping to Canada

Ship via UPS Express (delivery in 2 - 3 business days) including customs clearance
Street address and phone number required - UPS will not deliver to a PO Box
Shipping charge is 20% of merchandise total - $22.50 minimum charge

All Other International Orders

Ship via UPS Express (delivery in 2-3 business days) including customs clearance
Street address and phone number required - UPS will not deliver to a PO Box
Shipping charge is 25% of merchandise total - $31.50 minimum charge

If an international package is returned due to refusal of delivery, the customer is responsible for the shipping charges to and from ACTEX and any brokerage fees incurred. Please note that refusing the package does not eliminate the brokerage fees. All shipping charges and brokerage fees will be deducted from your refund.
