September 1, 2010 ACTEX is pleased to announce the publication of the Memorial Edition of, Within the System: My Half-Century in Social Security, the autobiography of Robert J. Myers. Mr. Myers was instrumental in defining, shaping and refining the Social Security system in America for over 35 years. He was a gem of a man with a giant influence and we are pleased to honor his memory in this way. A portion of the proceeds from this edition will be donated in Mr. Myers’ memory to The Actuarial Foundation.
